Burnout Legends brings the high-octane chaos of the *Burnout* series to handhelds for the first time, expertly blending the best features from the first three console games. At its heart, it’s all about aggressive, no-holds-barred racing where your goal is a dual one: cross the finish line first and take out as many rival racers as possible along the way.
You earn Burnout Points for spectacular moves like takedowns and long drifts, which you can use to unlock a huge garage of new cars and rewards.
The single-player experience is packed with content. You can jump into quick single events or dive into the extensive World Tour mode. Here, you’ll progress through five vehicle classes—from Compact to Super cars—by winning a variety of event types. These include standard Races, the fan-favorite Crash mode (where causing the biggest pile-up is the goal), Time Attack, and the brutal Road Rage, where takedowns are your only objective.
The multiplayer suite is just as robust, offering modes like Pursuit and a unique Collector Challenge where you can win cars from your friends. The PSP version even has a game-sharing feature, letting you play multiplayer or demo modes with friends who don’t own the game.
The Nintendo DS version supports Multi-Pak play, allowing for two-player matches with just one game card, making it easy to get into a quick race with a friend.
