Sonic Rivals 2 keeps the same high-speed, head-to-head formula that made the first game so unique. You’ll race against another character through vibrant 3D platforming courses, trying to reach the finish line first. The tracks are littered with power-ups you can grab to slow down your opponent or gain a competitive edge. The boss stages add a fun twist—you’re not just racing your rival, but also competing to take down a giant enemy before they do. Beating challenges and completing objectives also earns you collectible cards, adding to the replay value.
Spider-Man 2 on the PSP offers a very different experience from its open-world console counterpart. This version is built around 19 linear levels, each packed with unique objectives. You’ll web-swing through the city, scale walls, battle thugs and robots, rescue hostages from a museum, stop a police car from plunging off a bridge, and even put out a warehouse fire by activating sprinklers.
Combat is fluid and combo-based, letting you chain together kicks, punches, and—of course—creative web attacks. Your webbing isn’t just for fighting; you’ll also use it to solve environmental puzzles, like patching broken pipes. As you play, you earn Hero Points for finishing levels quickly, finding hidden collectibles, pulling off combos, and finishing with high health. These points can be spent between missions to unlock new abilities and upgrades.
While the game loosely follows the film’s plot (especially in stages featuring Doctor Octopus), it also brings in a full rogue’s gallery of villains like Mysterio, Rhino, Shocker, and Vulture. The story is voiced by the original film cast—including Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst—and is told through a mix of pre-rendered cutscenes and in-game sequences.
