Just when the LocoRoco thought their world was safe and full of song, the dreaded Moja Troop returns—and they’ve learned to sing a terrifying melody that drains the life from everything it touches. Once again, it’s up to you to guide the LocoRoco, restore the world, and silence the Moja’s deadly tune.
Like the first game, LocoRoco 2 puts you in control of the environment itself. Tilt the world left or right using the shoulder buttons to roll your LocoRoco through each level. Press both at once to make them jump, tap ○ to split them into tiny pieces for tight spaces, and hold ○ to merge them back into one big, bouncy blob.
This time, the Moja’s gloomy song has left dark, toxic stains across the land. Guide your LocoRoco into these patches to clear the corruption and heal the environment. Along the way, you’ll collect musical notes—gather enough, and you’ll earn helpful new abilities. You can also play rhythm mini-games, tapping to the beat of the LocoRoco’s own songs to earn bonus notes.
New to this sequel is Loco Rider, a competitive ad-hoc mini-game for up to four players. Shrink your friends’ LocoRoco by bumping into them, then trap them in thorny patches before they can do the same to you!
