In Secret Agent Clank, the spotlight shifts to Ratchet’s loyal robotic sidekick as he steps into the role of a suave secret agent. When Ratchet is wrongly imprisoned, it’s up to Clank to clear his name, thwart a global threat, and uncover the truth behind a sinister conspiracy. Along the way, you’ll even take control of Ratchet himself, battling through prison arenas against familiar foes. Not to be left out, the glory-obsessed Captain Qwark also muscles his way into the adventure, trailing Clank in a bid to steal the spotlight—leading to several levels where you play as Qwark through his own wildly exaggerated retellings of events.
Clank’s missions emphasize stealth and precision, blending sneaky takedowns with gadget-based espionage. The gameplay expands beyond stealth, however, with rhythm-based sequences, high-speed driving stages, and cinematic spy set-pieces. Ratchet’s sections, by contrast, are fast-paced run-and-gun battles set in gladiator-style arenas. When playing as Qwark, you’ll dive into over-the-top boss fights and action challenges ripped straight from his inflated imagination.
