LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy brings back the charm and humor of its predecessor, this time diving into the timeless adventures of Episodes IV, VI, and VI—all reimagined with LEGO’s signature wit and brick-based style. Everything from the characters to the iconic locations is built entirely from LEGO pieces, complete with the series’ trademark destructibility and rebuildable environments.
Played from a third-person perspective, the game blends action, platforming, and light puzzle-solving. You’ll take control of a wide range of characters—each with their own abilities. Jedi wield lightsabers and use the Force, droids like R2-D2 hack terminals, bounty hunters such as Boba Fett take to the air with jetpacks, and Chewbacca packs a powerful bowcaster. These unique skills are essential to solving environmental puzzles and progressing through levels that faithfully recreate key moments from the films.
Vehicle stages play a larger role this time, offering extended sequences where you pilot classic ships like the Millennium Falcon and X-Wings in action-packed dogfights and races. The game also supports two-player cooperative play through the entire story mode. After completing levels, Free Play mode becomes available, letting you revisit stages with any unlocked character—including custom figures assembled from interchangeable parts. By collecting Studs (the in-game currency) and discovering Power Bricks, you can unlock cheats, new characters, and bonus vehicles, adding plenty of incentive to replay and explore every brick-filled corner of the Star Wars universe.
