Street Supremacy is a handheld racing game set in the Tokyo Xtreme Racer universe. The game features 15 unique courses on the streets of Tokyo and a selection of 25 authentic high-end vehicles that are highly customizable, from the engine to the muffler.
The primary gameplay mode is “Team Rumble.” In this mode, you join a team, or “clique,” and compete in events to acquire territory and take control of different regions. You can also recruit opposing racers by depleting their “Spirit Points”—which are lowered by crashing into walls, guardrails, and other cars—until they agree to join your team.
You also compete against other members of your own clique in “ranking battles,” which are five-car races that determine the team’s internal ranks. Winning these races allows you to move up the ranks and eventually challenge the team leader. If you defeat the leader, you take their place.
The game also includes a “Time-Attack” mode where you must complete a race within a set time, and a multiplayer mode that supports online combat via the PSP’s Ad-Hoc feature.
