Bubble Bobble Evolution: A New Twist on a Classic

Bubble Bobble Evolution is a PSP game that reimagines the classic arcade game, Bubble Bobble. The story finds the twin bubble dragons, Bub and Bob, trapped in two separate towers filled with puzzles. They must work together to find a way out, learning new skills as they go.

Gameplay and Features

The game takes the core concept of the original—blowing bubbles to trap and pop enemies—and adds a new 3D, puzzle-focused dimension. The levels are designed in a cylindrical, three-screen structure, and you’ll need to solve puzzles to progress. This often involves switching between Bub and Bob to activate switches or transport items from one part of the tower to another.

The game also introduces a new type of bubble, the “yoyo bubble,” in addition to the traditional ones. The famous Bubble Bobble theme music returns, but with a modern update that includes bass and other new effects.
