The story kicks off with a crisis at MotorWorld, a wild amusement park built around racing. Its eccentric owner, the robotic daredevil Ebeneezer von Clutch, has had the Black Power Gem—the very source of his life force—stolen right out of his chassis. Desperate, he hires every available character, hero and villain alike, to get it back. Their mission: find the gem and uncover the thief responsible.
The core gameplay will feel familiar to fans of *Crash Team Racing*. You can choose from a huge roster of classic characters from across the series, plus a few memorable new faces.
The big new twist is the game’s signature “clashing” mechanic. During a race, you can slam into another car and temporarily fuse with it, creating a powerful hybrid vehicle. Both players then control this super-car, working together to unleash devastating weapons and smash the competition before splitting apart again.
