Infected: A Comedic Zombie Shooter
Infected is a fast-paced, humorous third-person zombie shooter for the PSP. The game is set in a zombie-infested New York City during Christmas. You play as Officer Stevens, a cop who discovers that his blood is immune to the zombie virus and, even better, can make zombies explode.
Gameplay and Features
The core gameplay is a mix of shooting and combo-based killing. You must first shoot and weaken zombies with a conventional weapon until their health is low enough. Then, you can fire a vial of your blood from a “viral gun” into them, causing them to explode. If a zombie explodes near others, they can become weak enough for a chain reaction, which is key to defeating large groups of enemies.
The game also has a unique online feature. When you defeat another player in a multiplayer match, you “infect” their PSP with your unique avatar and virus. Their single-player game will then be populated with zombies that look like your character. If they then defeat someone else in a multiplayer match, they will pass your virus on to that person. You can even check a world map to see how far your viral strain has spread.
