In Jackass: The Game, the crew’s cameraman is injured, and it’s up to you to take over and get the show back on the air. You’ll play as your favorite Jackass members in a series of mini-games and challenges to film new episodes, earn money, and unlock new content.

Gameplay and Features

The game is structured around a series of stunts. To earn money and finish an episode, you must successfully complete these stunts. The more you hurt your character, the more cash you’ll get. Earning enough money in an episode lets you move on to the next.

You start the game with the main cast members: Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Ryan Dunn, and Chris Pontius. By completing episodes, you can unlock other characters, though Wee-Man has his own special “Wee-Games” to play, which include challenges like “Poo Shower” and “Wee Tattoo.”

After completing a stunt in the MTV Story mode, you can replay it in Challenge mode with new objectives. The money you earn can be spent in the Jackass-Mart to unlock new costumes, props, and classic clips from the TV show. The game has a ridiculous injury system, with everything from a simple turf burn to a broken neck.

Multiplayer and Version Differences

The game also features a multiplayer mode. The PSP version supports up to four players over Wi-Fi.

There are a few key differences between the PSP and PS2 versions:

  • PSP: This version has a Director Mode that lets you edit replays of your stunts and export them in different formats. You can change camera angles, speed up or slow down footage, and even string together multiple clips to create your own “episode.” The PSP version also supports online multiplayer and downloadable content.
  • PS2: The PS2 version has more complex features in the gameplay, such as pedestrians you can interact with. It also has an expanded “Bail-Out” feature, which awards you points for the number of injuries your character sustains.
