Experience intense tactical action in Killzone – Liberation, where strategic combat and futuristic warfare take center stage on the PSP.
Killzone: Liberation picks up two months after the events of the original PlayStation 2 game. You once again step into the boots of Templar, but this time the ISA is taking the fight directly to the Helghast. Though initially pushed back, the enemy has reorganized under the cunning General Metrac, who has seized control of southern Vekta. It’s up to you to battle through 16 intense missions to turn the tide.
This sequel shakes up the formula by ditching the first-person perspective for an intense top-down/third-person view. A new tactical mode lets you pause the action, zoom out, and plan your next move by assigning commands and assessing objectives. You’ll often fight alongside allies like Rico, who you can direct in combat and even order to commandeer vehicles.
Missions are diverse, requiring you to plant explosives, sabotage installations, rescue hostages, and infiltrate heavily guarded bases. While auto-aim helps manage the frantic action, you’ll still face waves of enemies that keep the pressure high.
Between missions, you can spend earned points to customize your loadout, choosing up to three upgradable skills—like carrying more ammo or dealing increased damage. You can earn extra points in challenge missions that test your shooting skills or task you with disarming mines against the clock.
The package is rounded out with a robust suite of Ad Hoc multiplayer options for up to six players, including full co-op support and competitive modes like Deathmatch, Assault, and Capture the Flag.
