Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus is a standalone expansion that deepens the multiplayer and strategic recruitment elements of the original Portable Ops. While it includes a new single-player mode called Infinity Mission—offering endless, objective-based gameplay without a story—the expansion is primarily designed for competitive and cooperative play.
The core gameplay loop of recruiting soldiers by convincing them via the PSP’s microphone returns, now enriched with a larger roster of characters. New recruits include iconic figures from across the series, such as Old Snake (MGS4), Roy Campbell, and Raiden (MGS2), each bringing unique abilities to your roster.
The multiplayer experience is significantly expanded, supporting up to six players in ad-hoc WiFi battles. Newcomers can also benefit from additional tutorials and missions designed to help them master the game’s tactical espionage action.
