MTX Mototrax: An All-Terrain Racing Experience

MTX Mototrax (originally titled Pro MotoX Travis Pastrana) is an arcade-style motocross racing game. It was developed by Left Field Productions and published by Activision in 2004 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox. Two years later, it was ported to Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows by developer Beenox and publisher Aspyr, and was also released on the PSP in 2006.

Gameplay and Features

The game is praised for its sound design, with realistic engine noises, cheering crowds, and a high-energy soundtrack. It offers a variety of game modes beyond the main races, including mini-games, and different difficulty levels, each with its own rewards.

The core gameplay centers on racing across different terrains, from indoor stadiums to outdoor courses with varying lengths and ramp placements. You must use your skills to navigate these unique tracks and beat your opponents to win the championship cup. The game’s career mode has you starting out as a rookie and working your way up to the X-Games, earning money from sponsorships and events to upgrade your bike and gear.

The game also features a track builder that lets you create your own custom courses, which you can then race on with friends.
