The story mode covers the events from the anime arc where Naruto returns to the Hidden Leaf Village and the final showdown between Sasuke and Itachi.

Gameplay and Tactics

The gameplay revolves around team battles. You can select a squad of up to four members and face an opponent’s team of four. You don’t have to wait for a character to be defeated to switch them out—you can switch your fighter at any time. This allows for a flexible combat strategy, so you can bring in a character whose special abilities, or ninjutsu, give you an advantage in a specific situation.

While your control skills are important, a character’s stats—like attack speed and power—play a huge role in the outcome. Fighters with higher stats will have an edge, and players who can combine moves to create powerful combos will be able to defeat their opponents more easily.
