Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Heroes 3 is an action and fighting game for the PSP that continues the series’ signature combat style while adding new features. Players select their favorite ninja and employ a variety of unique jutsu and weapons, such as shurikens and bombs.
Gameplay and Features
- Two-Level Combat: A key combat feature is the ability to quickly move between two distinct fighting planes—the foreground and the background—using simple button presses, adding a layer of strategy to the duels.
- Dual Storyline (Master Mode): The “Master Mode” story follows the adventures during the second season of the Naruto anime, continuing the confrontation with the Akatsuki up to episode 88. Additionally, the game features a completely new, original narrative experienced from Sasuke’s perspective.
- Varied Level Design: The Master Mode includes two types of stages: “Battle” levels for one-on-one combat and “action” levels that require players to run and avoid various hazards.
- Extensive Multiplayer: The game supports up to four players simultaneously in split-screen duels. Furthermore, the entire Master Mode campaign can be played cooperatively, allowing the main player to invite two friends to join as a team.
