Phantasy Star Portable: A Journey to Save the Gurhal System

Phantasy Star Portable is an action RPG set in the Phantasy Star universe. The game offers both a single-player Story Mode and a cooperative multiplayer mode for up to four players. If you played the demo, you can even transfer your created character into the full game.

Customization and Combat

The game gives you a lot of freedom to create your character, from their facial features to their voice. As you play, your character’s stats will improve automatically as they gain levels.

Combat is party-based and played from a third-person view. You can have up to two other characters join your party. The game’s main story progresses as you complete various objectives. You’ll often have to clear all enemies from an area, which often ends in a challenging boss fight. As you defeat enemies, you’ll earn experience and find new items.

To help you keep track of everything, there is an in-game notebook that records information about the items and monsters you’ve encountered.
