Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together – A Reimagined Classic
Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together is an enhanced remake of the classic 1995 strategy RPG for the Super NES. It brings the game to a new generation with updated 3D graphics, new effects, and a host of new features and characters. The game’s pre-order even included a set of Tarot Cards illustrated by Akihiko Yoshida.
Gameplay and Features
The game retains the tactical, turn-based combat of the original but with several key improvements. You control a party of up to 12 characters in grid-based battles. A new feature called the Chariot Tarot system lets you rewind your moves up to 50 turns back, allowing you to try different strategies and correct mistakes without having to restart a battle.
The game is known for its deep, branching narrative. Your choices and actions throughout the story can lead to different paths—Law, Chaos, or Neutral—which in turn affect who joins your party and what missions you’ll play. The new World Tarot system lets you go back to key decision points after you’ve completed the game, so you can explore all the different story paths and endings without having to start over from the beginning.
The remake also adds new content and characters, and the class system has been reworked, allowing for more customization. There is also a multiplayer mode where you can download other players’ teams and fight against them in a separate arena.
