You’ll step into the roles of Estelle Bright, the spirited daughter of the legendary explorer Cassius, and her quiet, adoptive brother Joshua, whose mysterious past remains a shadow over their home.
Their family belongs to a renowned guild of adventurers known as the “Bracers,” a group dedicated to protecting the common folk by taking on dangerous jobs for a fee. When Cassius is suddenly called away, the responsibility of the guild falls onto the young duo’s shoulders. Thrust into leadership, Estelle and Joshua must prove their worth by completing a myriad of challenging requests. What begins as a simple effort to uphold their father’s legacy quickly spirals into a deep and dangerous conspiracy that threatens the entire realm.
True to its roots, this is a classic Japanese-style RPG, though it was originally developed for PC. Combat is a tactical affair where you directly maneuver your party members across the battlefield. The strategy comes from mastering two key types of abilities: “Arts” (powerful elemental spells) and “Crafts” (devastating special skills similar to Final Fantasy‘s Limit Breaks). Beyond the main story, you can undertake numerous optional Bracer missions. Succeeding in these tasks is crucial, as it allows you to rise through the guild’s ranks, unlocking new challenges and rewards.
