Virtua Tennis 3: Arcade Tennis on the Go

Virtua Tennis 3 for the PSP brings SEGA’s arcade tennis action to your hands. The game lets you compete in tournaments, play single matches, and go on a global tour to build your own tennis star. You can perform all the major tennis shots—topspin, lob, slice, smash, and drop shot—on a variety of court surfaces, each of which affects how the ball bounces and moves. In doubles matches, you can also give commands to your computer-controlled partner.

Global Tour and Training

The World Tour mode is the main part of the game. You start by creating your character and building a home base on a world map. From there, you travel to different locations, competing in events to improve your skills and reputation. You can also:

• Upgrade your abilities.
• Buy new gear and partner contracts.
• Train using a variety of fun mini-games that focus on specific skills like footwork, strokes, volleys, and serves. These games, which involve things like tanks, bowling pins, and aliens, are a great way to improve your performance.

In addition to the training games, there are other mini-games like Blockbuster and Fruit Dash that challenge your tennis skills in a different way.

Characters and Multiplayer

The game features 14 licensed professional tennis players, seven male and seven female. While mixed single matches aren’t available, you can play mixed doubles. The multiplayer mode supports up to four players using an Ad Hoc connection, so you can compete against your friends.
