Dive into the court with SEGA’s acclaimed arcade tennis series, now on the PSP. This entry serves up a complete tennis package, featuring tournaments against professional stars, quick exhibition matches, and a deep Global Tour mode where you can create and fully customize your own rising tennis prodigy.

Master every shot in the book—from powerful topspin drives and delicate drop shots to slicing serves and game-saving smashes. The game even features “aftertouch,” allowing you to influence the ball’s trajectory after you’ve hit it. The playing surface matters, too; different court types realistically affect the ball’s bounce and speed. In doubles matches, you can even issue commands to your AI partner to coordinate your strategy perfectly.

The heart of the experience is the Global Tour. You’ll start by building a home base on the world map and then travel the globe to compete in scheduled tournaments and build your reputation. Your earnings can be invested into upgrading your player’s skills, buying new gear, and securing contracts with partners and venues. Skill improvement comes through a series of creative and fun minigames—think blasting aliens to improve your volleys or knocking down tanks to hone your footwork.

Beyond training, you can also jump into a variety of ball-based challenge games like BlockbusterFruit Dash, and Balloon Smash, which test your tennis skills in unconventional and entertaining ways.

The game boasts a roster of 14 licensed tennis pros, evenly split between seven male and seven female stars. While you can’t play single-mixed matches, mixed doubles is fully supported. For the ultimate match, the multiplayer mode allows up to four players to compete simultaneously via Ad Hoc connection, making it the perfect portable tennis party.
