This installment in the SmackDown series continues the popular SmackDown vs. Raw era, now adopting an annual release format like other major sports titles.
The game features an updated roster packed with current WWE Superstars and beloved Legends like Bret Hart and The British Bulldog. You’ll battle it out in new arenas from recent Pay-Per-View events, as well as classic venues like the iconic theater used at WrestleMania IX. In Season Mode, you’ll pursue championship gold through branching storylines, complete with freshly recorded voiceovers that pull you deeper into the drama.
Gameplay sees meaningful refinements, including expanded move sets for each wrestler and new pre-match mini-games that let you gain an early advantage before the bell even rings.
A major new addition is General Manager Mode, where you take charge of booking an entire weekly show. You’ll manage a budget to sign talent, keep wrestlers happy, schedule matches, and even ignite rivalries all to keep your ratings high and fans hooked.
As you play, you’ll earn SmackDown Dollars, which can be spent to unlock new moves, Create-a-Wrestler items, Legend characters, and even furniture to customize your personal locker room. You can also earn trophies for your display case by completing in-game challenges and succeeding in GM Mode.
