Final Fantasy Type-0: Class Zero’s Sacrifice

Final Fantasy Type-0 is an action RPG that tells the story of Class Zero, a group of 14 elite magic students at Vermillion Peristylium Academy. The story begins when the Militesi Empire invades the magical nation of Rubrum. Class Zero is deployed to defend their home, fighting alongside the Rubrum army to stop the invasion. In a climactic final battle, two members of the class, Rem and Machina, are mortally wounded and turn into crystals.

The surviving members of Class Zero, despite their grief, fight on to defeat the final enemy and create a new timeline where the war never happened, bringing peace to the world of Orience.

Gameplay and Combat

The game uses a fast-paced, action-based battle system. You can have up to three characters in your party at a time. While you control one character, the other two are managed by the computer’s AI. You can switch between your characters at any time, which is important because each of the 14 members of Class Zero has a unique weapon and fighting style. As you level up, you can unlock special skills for each character.

Combat has some unique mechanics:

• Triad Maneuver: You can combine the attacks of three characters to deal huge damage.
• Kill Vision: A mechanic that allows you to instantly defeat standard enemies with a single hit if you time your attack perfectly.
• Break Vision: A similar mechanic that deals a lot of damage to stronger enemies.

Magic skills are split into five groups. For example, “Rifle” magic lets you shoot in a straight line, while “Missile” magic automatically homes in on enemies. A key tip is that you can hold down the attack button to increase the power of your attack.

Some battles have a time limit, which adds to the challenge but offers greater rewards. The game also includes an arena where you can train against monsters called Eidolons, and you can unlock up to 20 different training battles as you progress through the story.
