Nickelodeon SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie is a platformer/action-adventure game based on the film, sending SpongeBob and Patrick on an epic journey to save Bikini Bottom and their boss, Mr. Krabs.
Plot Summary
- The Crisis (Plan Z): The villainous Plankton enacts his sinister “Plan Z” to finally take over the world. He achieves this by stealing the crown of King Neptune, sending it to the distant Shell City, and successfully framing Mr. Krabs for the crime.
- The Mission: King Neptune freezes Mr. Krabs and gives SpongeBob and Patrick a deadline of six days to retrieve the crown. The two best friends must leave the familiar surroundings of Bikini Bottom and journey to the dangerous, uncharted region of Shell City to bring the crown back, save Mr. Krabs from execution, and thwart Plankton’s subsequent plot to seize control of the entire town.
