Rogue Galaxy is an Action Role-Playing Game (Action RPG) from Level-5. The Western (NA/EU) release of the game is based on the enhanced Japanese version, known as the Director’s Cut, which featured a large amount of added content and refinements.

- New Planet: A new planet named Alistia was added, expanding the game’s scope.
- Voice Dialogue: More voice dialogue was added to enhance character interactions (2,000 extra lines).
- Minigame Expansion: The Insectron Tournament minigame received more levels and was expanded to support two players (with two new species added).
- Collectibles: The weapon collection size was increased.
- Visuals & Difficulty: Improved graphics, rebalanced difficulty, and other visual refinements to many planets and dungeons.
